To register for any of the following trainings: Please call 249-6688.
So that all participants can receive the full benefit of the trainings, please be mindful of the following:
- Trainings, unless otherwise noted, are currently free of charge. Please register only if you know you can attend.
- Trainings begin and end at the time listed. To receive credit for any training, participants must be present no later than 15 minutes after the starting time.
- For those participants who will be picked-up after the training, please make sure the driver is here when the workshop ends.
- Each individual participant must call to reserve their own space - please no calling for other people.
August 2008
- 12th - Supervision Training (6:30pm-8:30pm)) at SSDC
- Trainers: Mary Draughn and Ann Brudenell
- 2 hrs of in-service credit
- Participants will learn ways to ensure adequate supervision is happening in the classroom.
- 19th - Back To School 101 Training (6:30pm-8:30pm) at SSDC
- Trainers: Mandy Campbell and Melissa Smith
- 2 hrs of in-service credit

- 28th - CPR/First Aid Heart Savers Pediatrics Training (5:30pm-8:30pm) at SSDC

- Participants will learn appropriate techniques to ensure a safe and healthy environment.

- Child Care Providers, you are invited to attend an exciting day of training that will take your program to the next level! Representatives from Statewide Initiatives will provide four hours of training to help you enhance your program.

- Learn the basics every one should know when preparing to take an online course. Learn how to navigate through an online classroom and how you can get the most of your online learning experience.

- Art as a free play activity. Emphasis will be placed on process versus product.
- 11th - Literacy Training (6:30pm-8:30pm) at SSDC

- Turn story time into a solid reading experience for young children. Experience hands on literacy activities in the preschool classroom.
- 20th - Sensory Processing Disorders Training (6:30pm-8:30pm) at SSDC

- Come learn how to recognize and implement strategies for the child who may have sensory processing issues.
December 2008
